Scott Hatteberg has played Major League Baseball for 12 years. After playing 3 years at Washington State University, Scott was selected in the first round by the Boston Red Sox. He was with the Red Sox until 2001, played 4 seasons with the Oakland A’s and just completed his second season with the Cincinnati Reds. Scott continues to improve as a professional hitter, he finished this last season with a batting average of .310, which is the first time he has hit over .300 for a season. His slugging percentage, which was .474, was also the highest of his career. This continual improvement is a testament to Scott’s knowledge and hard work. During the 2007 season he led all Major League Players age 37 or older who had a minimum of 400 plate appearances in batting average.

Scott lives in Gig Harbor during the off-season with his wife and three daughters. He is an excellent speaker and hitting instructor. Teaching kids the art and science of hitting is a passion of Scotts and this comes through in his interactions with the participants. The hitting clinic will be divided into small groups by age. The groups will rotate through different hitting stations that will include demonstrations, instruction and drills that allow hitters of all abilities to improve. The hitters will even be able to watch video of themselves hitting. Participants will have their picture taken with Scott and receive a T-Shirt, a gift personally autographed by Scott Hatteberg, and the chance to win other cool prizes through a raffle.

Cost: $100 per participant. Fee is Non-Refundable after January 3, 2008
