GHLL Volunteer Board Meeting Minutes
April 11, 2007

Present:

Old Business:
- Bill
Glover, President, started the meeting discussing the last 30 days of
success’s and items of completion.
- Bill
updated the members that the snack shack and Young Life are off to a good
start this season. Terry Koberstein is doing an excellent job managing the
snack shack.
Tom Taylor updated the group about
the successful Inter-league games set up with KPLL for 4/21, 4/28, 5/5 and
5/12.
- Joe
Guinn will look into the Mariners Little League Night and provide Bill
with more information.
Umpire Scheduling:
Brian Horton will update the current Umpire roster list and send it to Curt
Morford to update the Website. The site will reflect those umpires that will
just do Junior/Major games. Major Coaches will go on the list to do Triple‘A’ games. Triple‘A’
Coaches will go on the list to do Double‘A’ games
- Bill
spoke about reporting scoring and pitch count affidavits before the games (to
the umpire) and after the games ( League
Directors & Curt Morford) .
The Pitch count affidavits must start being done in ink.
New Business:
- Joe
Guinn and Cindy Werner updated the group about the current status of the
Golf Tournament and Dinner Event on May 4th. Joe and Cindy would like each
team to make a donation to the auction. Cindy spoke about different
possible auction items.
- Bill
and Dave Koberstein spoke about the tournament brackets and rules. If a
player throws more than 20 pitches in a game, the player is not eligible
to pitch in the next game. This will be the first year for a Junior’s Tournament GHLL
will use the 2007 LL tournament pitching rules that will be used in all
stars.
- Bill
and Shaun talked kids with special needs (Challenger Division). Shaun will
continue to explore how GHLL with get involved with this program with the
help of other Gig
Harbor families.
- Bill
and Kelly Busey talked about all new gear at all the outlining fields.
Bill will send out an email to managers about proper care of the gear and
equipment.
- Bill
announced we need a person for each All-Star division to be the point of
contact.
- Shaun
announced the UPS Store made a donation to GHLL with benefits.
- Bill
clarified the rules about kids being eligible for All-Stars.
